Fans reacted as the Houston Astros crumbled to a 7-5 defeat on Friday to the Baltimore Orioles. However, their bullpen faltered big time, squandering a 5-2 lead in the eighth as the Orioles added five runs in the inning to take the game at Camden Yards.

After shutting down the Orioles 6-0 in the series opener on Thursday, the road team couldn't keep Orioles hitters at bay in crucial moments a day later.

That led fans to take a dig at the Astros, especially manager Joe Espada and Bryan Abreu, who didn't have their best day.

"Ryan Abreu is a disgrace," one fan blamed Bryan Abreu who gave up five earned runs in the eighth.
"All thanks to Bryan Abreu for giving up a grand slam to Anthony Santander in the bottom of the 8th. We will try again tomorrow while we own the playoff seeding tiebreaker against the Orioles," another fan commented and joined the blame party.
"Espada s**ks. He proved me right again," the Astros manager's name was also brought in the public eye by one user.
"We deserve to lose this game thanks to Bryan Abreu," another added.
"Scout finds a prospect. GM: “What’s his last name?” Scout: “Abreu.” GM: “Nah. We good,”" another made a hilarious exchange.
"Good for nothing losers," one fan posted.

The eighth inning was where all things changed. Manager Joe Espada called up Bryan Abreu to pitch the eighth inning and set up a save opportunity for closer Josh Hader in the ninth, with the Astros leading 5-2.

Colten Cowser and Adley Rutschman recorded back-to-back singles. Gunnar Henderson hit a grounder on which Rutschman got to first base, setting up the Orioles' base-loaded situation with one out for Anthony Santander.

Santander dispatched a high-rising fastball from Abreu to right center field for a grand slam, taking the Orioles up 6-5.

Another score was added later in the inning, with Ramon Urias' triple bringing Austin Slater home to boost the lead to 7-5. Seranthony Dominguez came in in the ninth for the Orioles to close out the game.
