Scalps over the Chinese and Czech sent the fans into a frenzy, but their storied 8-7 victory over South Korea will live long in the minds of the Aussie fans. And it looks like the win came in clutch!

With a quarter-final berth now secured for the Kangaroos from down under, baseball fans exploded on Twitter.

Not only was their win over the South Koreans historic, but making it out of the group could be their biggest coup of them all, or at least that's what this fan thinks.

If this win was truly for Aussie national and Chicago White Sox pitcher, Liam Hendricks, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma on 8 January 2023, then it would be extremely touching and beautiful to see them win it all.

While who ranks higher between the ABL and KBO still remains a hot topic of debate, the Australians certainly strengthened their case with a swashbuckling win over the Koreans.

The Aussies finished the pool with a surprising 3-1 record and are now slated to play against the mighty Cubans on Wednesday with a spot on the line in the semifinals in Miami.

The Cubans secured their quarter berth with victories over Panama and Chinese Taipei. They dominated a fired-up Chinese Taipei squad 7-1 in their final group game, topping Pool A after coming out on top in a five-way tiebreaker.
