Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is coming off a solid 2024 season with the Toronto Blue Jays. The 25-year-old bounced back after a slightly down year in 2023. With the offseason underway, Guerrero Jr. is now preparing for the 2025 season.

On Wednesday, Guerrero Jr. was joined by two fellow Dominican players for an offseason training session.

Free-agent outfielder Teoscar Hernandez and Atlanta Braves pitcher Reynaldo Lopez teamed up with Guerrero Jr. at the Nicole Gabriel Training Facility in Tampa, Florida.

Fans were thrilled to see them together and expressed their excitement in the comments under Guerrero Jr.’s Instagram post.

“Vladdy and Teo in training together is exactly what the baseball world needs!! 🙏❤️💯,” a fan said.
“MVP SEASON LOADING,” another fan said.
“We need this reunion ASAP!” another fan said.

Other fans urged Teoscar Hernandez to re-sign with the Blue Jays.

Teoscar Hernandez spent the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers after playing for the Seattle Mariners in 2023. Before that, Hernandez was teammates with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., spending 2017 to 2022 with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been a key player for the Toronto Blue Jays since his major league debut in 2019. He is set to hit free agency after the 2025 season unless the Blue Jays extend his contract.

On Monday, Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins addressed Guerrero Jr.’s contract situation, stating (via MLB.com):

“We have to stay disciplined to how we view things. We are committed to always being fair and being consistent. Nothing has changed in terms of our pursuit of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and we are very hopeful to extend him.”

Guerrero Jr. impressed last season, batting .323 with 30 home runs, 103 RBIs, and a .940 OPS.
