Iconic New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez celebrated his 49th birthday on Saturday. However, former MLB player Jose Canseco wasn't too enthused about the occasion.
Two-time World Series winner Jose Canseco's dislike for Rodriguez has been evident via the former Oakland Athletics slugger's X, formerly Twitter, handle. Canseco landed another jibe on Rodriguez's special day.
"Happy birthday to everyone except one guy," Canseco wrote.

It isn't the first time the former six-time All-Star mocked the Yankees icon. Last month Canseco directed a post for the former Yankees slugger, sarcastically wishing him on the onset of Pride Month. Rodriguez continues to ignore the jibes from the controversial former All-Star.
Canseco's alleged feud with Rodriquez seemingly started when the Yankees legend's name was not mentioned in the 2007 Mitchell Report, which ousted several athletes for using performance-enhancing drugs.
While Canseco had admitted his steroid usage during his MLB career following his retirement in 2005, the former AL MVP also accused Rodriquez of using PEDs.
"All I can say is the Mitchell report is incomplete. I could not believe that his name was not in the report," Canseco on not finding Alex Rodriguez's name in the report.

Earlier this May, Jose Canseco challenged Alex Rodriguez to a duel inside the ring to settle their alleged feud. Canseco had alleged that Rodriguez was cheating on Jennifer Lopez with his ex-wife Jessica in 2019 and wanted to settle to scores, with the proceeds to go to charity.
"I challenge Alex Rodriguez to a boxing match to end this once and for all. All proceeds will go to charity," he tweeted.
Canseco's cheating allegations against Rodriguez were dismissed by his ex-wife Jessica, calling out the former Athletics slugger for his false accusations.
"Those false accusations Jose is making are not true!🖐🏻I have known Alex for many years and haven’t even seen him for over 5. I certainly did not sleep with him. I am friendly with both him and Jennifer. As for Jose, he can keep playing with his Alien friends."
Despite calling time on his MLB career nearly two decades ago, Jose Canseco continues to draw the attention of baseball fans, while Alex Rodriguez refrains from responding to the jibes.
