On Thursday, the Minnesota Twins and Tampa Bay Rays met for the final game of their three-game series. The series was tied at one apiece after Minnesota took Game 1 and Tampa Bay took Game 2 in extra innings.

It was a back-and-forth matchup between the two teams, but the Twins found themselves down three runs after Carlos Santana hit a solo home run to start the ninth. Down to his last strike, Jose Miranda hit a three-run blast to tie the game and send it to extras.

When all hope was lost, Miranda came in clutch for the team, and doing it on a 1-2 count made it all the better. The fans in attendance were jumping for joy, ready for their club to take the game in extras.

The home run marked Miranda's eighth of the season. He, Royce Lewis, and Carlos Santana all muscled out home runs in the series finale against Tampa Bay on Thursday.

"I love this team" - one fan posted.
"I should not have turned the game off" - posted another.
"It spreads" - posted another.

Some fans who turned the game off when the team was heading into the ninth inning chasing four runs are regretting it. It goes to show you never know what can happen until that last out is made.

I NEVER GAVE UP ON THE KID LET'S GO" - said another fan.
"I. LOVE. BASEBALL" - said another.
"Let's go!!" - said another.

Minnesota is a scrappy bunch and a team that is not put away easily. However, their bullpen would let them down in extras.

Going into the 10th inning, Griffin Jax took the ball for the Twins. Unfortunately, he would give up an RBI single off the bat of Jonny DeLuca to give the Rays a one-run lead.

Going up to bat down one run, Carlos Correa hit a screamer to the outfield, but Royce Lewis was thrown out at third resulting in a double play. While Ryan Jeffers hit a single in his at-bat, Carlos Santana flew out to center to end the game.

Minnesota would end up losing the game 7-6 and the series 2-1. Now, they will get ready to take on the Oakland Athletics starting on Friday for a weekend series.
