Much has been said about the MLB and Juan Soto's record-breaking $765 million move to the New York Mets. Billionaire Mets owner Steve Cohen's newest acquisition was presented on Tuesday night in a presser at Citi Field as Soto shared his thoughts and shed light about his move from the Bronx to the Queens.

Following the presser, former MLB executive-turned insider Jim Bowden shared his thoughts about the free agency market at the conclusion of next season.

The pundit told CBS Sports that although Juan Soto and Shohei Ohtani (last year) signed landmark deals, it wouldn't affect the asking price for stars like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Kyle Tucker, whose contracts are up in 2025.

Bowden also discussed that Soto's gargantuan contract was due to the two New York-teams owners trying to sign a generational talent like the right field star.

"This is a special player (and) a special time. Two New York (based) owners were willing to get him, and the Mets landed him." (19:40-19:49)

As for the 2025-26 free agency class, the teams would have a field day, as several stars are up for grabs during next season's hot stove.

MLB has a stacked 2025-26 free agency class

The 2025-2026 MLB free agency class is shaping to be one of the most stacked in recent memory. Barring any renewals or avoidance of arbitration, the class comprises several All-Stars.

Heading the list is Toronto Blue Jays infielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The four-time All-Star and 2021 home run leader's contract is up at the conclusion of next year along with fellow teammate and All-Star Bo Bichette.

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker is also a free agent at the end of 2025. However, given the current climate and rumors surrounding the All-Star outfielder, he might not be an Astro anymore at the conclusion of his contract.

Other names in the aforementioned MLB free agency class are All-Stars Zac Gallen, Luis Arraez and J.T. Realmuto. Moreover, Dylan Cease, Framber Valdez and Michael King are also eligible to be scooped up by other squads during this period.

It will be interesting to see where stars like Cody Bellinger, Trevor Story, Edwin Diaz and Kodai Senga land, as they have opt-outs after next season.
