Oakland Athletics' Owner John Fisher

Oakland Athletics fans were gutted when they learned owner John Fisher would be moving the team to Las Vegas. Fans came to the stadium with shirts and signs demanding Fisher sell the team and let them stay.

However, the move to Vegas is real, and plans are starting to roll out. It was reported that Fisher would pledge one billion dollars for the new Vegas stadium construction.

Fisher and his family will invest one billion dollars, but they are not the only party investing money. U.S. bank Goldman Sachs will reportedly offer $300 million.

The amount of money being dished out here by the owner didn't sit well with Oakland fans. They took to Reddit to voice their displeasure with their former owner's generosity.

"Incredible how shameless he is," one fan posted.
"What a dirtbag," said another.
"Snake," said another.

Much of the fanbase didn't feel that Fisher was giving the club a fighting chance. Now, they see him dishing out the big bucks in a new location, and that doesn't sit well with them.

"Hahaha, pledge? He expects us to believe that?," said another.
"Oh now he has money to help pay for his stadium?," said another.
"Sad for baseball. But today money talks," said another.

Oakland fans have been through a ton over the last few years. They lost their NBA squad, and their NFL team, and now they are on the verge of seeing their MLB team relocate.

John Fisher has put a lot of thought into this move. That's a reason why he was given the green light to relocate his club to Las Vegas.

Construction on the ballpark is expected to begin in the spring. There is a general idea that the stadium will be ready to go ahead of the 2028 season, giving them plenty of time to get things right.

The stadium is expected to hold 33,000 people with views of the city's skyline. Every seat in the ballpark is expected to have a clear line of sight, unlike some seats at certain baseball stadiums.

The roof will be something fans instantly notice. There will be five overlapping layers that will be a sight to see and will provide natural lighting onto the field. While the circumstances are not the greatest for some, this could be a fun ballpark to visit.
