On Friday, San Diego Padres relief pitcher Jeremiah Estrada's girlfriend, Jianna Guerrero took to Instagram to share a series of snaps to her story, as she celebrated her 26th birthday. Also featuring in one of Guerrero's stories was her boyfriend, who surprised her with gifts.
"Best surprise ever 😭❤️💐" Jianna Guerrero captioned her Instagram story
A smiling Estrada had a bouquet of flowers with "Happy birthday" written on it on one hand. And on the other, he had a heart-shaped box decorated with pink flowers.
As Estrada impressed with his performances coming into games from the bullpen in 2024, Jianna Guerrero was often present at Petco Park to cheer her boyfriend on.
Jeremiah Estrada and girlfriend Jianna Guerrero enjoy day out in San Diego, visit Holiday Market
In mid-December, reliever Jeremiah Estrada and his girlfriend, Jianna Guerrero, enjoyed the "best time of the year" as they headed out to enjoy the sights and sounds of San Diego's Holiday Market.
The Padres took to Instagram to post a video of the two as they enjoyed their evening, taking part in some of the activities, while also enjoying some fresh hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls.
"Holiday Market is a vibe ☃️" the Padres captioned their Instagram post
On the field, Estrada enjoyed a succesful season with the San Diego Padres. After being deemed surplus to requirements by the Chicago Cubs, the Padres originally claimed Estrada off waivers in November of 2023.
Since then, the 26-year-old has seemingly been on a meteoric rise, becoming one of the most reliable arms in the Padres' bullpen, and growing in confidence with every game. Jeremiah Estrada also went on to break the MLB record for the most consecutive strikeouts, with 13, in late May.
The Padres eventually finished the regular season strong, qualifying for the playoffs by finishing top of the NL wildcard standings. It was yet again a season of postseason heartbreak for the Friars, though, as bitter rivals and eventual World Sereis champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, got the better of them in the NLDS.
For now, Estrada can look to rest well and spend plenty of quality time with his loved ones, before gearing up to pick up from where he left off in 2024.
