Miami Marlins fans enraged as manager and catcher ejected by officials over a timeout

Miami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker and catcher Jacob Stallings were ejected during Friday night's loss against the San Francisco Giants.

The two were ejected for arguing with the umpires over a timeout. The Marlins had called a timeout which was not given by the umpires and an argument followed.

Both Schumaker and Stallings were ejected by the officials in the eighth inning following their argument over the timeout call. Fans were unhappy with the umpire's decision and criticized the poor umpiring decisions on display throughout the season.

Skip Schumaker is a former MLB player who won the World Series in 2011 with the St. Louis Cardinals. It is his first season in the MLB as a manager and he has made an impressive start to the season.

Jacob Stallings was traded to the Miami Marlins at the end of the 2021 season after spending six campaigns with the Pittsburgh Pirates (and winning a Golden Glove award in his last year with them). Since then, he has been a crucial player for the Marlins, with a .118 average in 68 at-bats so far this season.
