Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout might take more time to get off the injured list. Many analysts believed that Trout might make a return by this week's end, as he was ready to play in a Triple-A rehab game. However, things took a different turn in his rehab start.

Alden Gonzalez of ESPN reported that Mike Trout was pulled out of the game because of soreness in his left knee which was surgically repaired recently. So, Gonzalez has expressed concern over Trout's return, however, it hasn't been confirmed by the team.

"Mike Trout was removed from his first Triple-A rehab game after two innings with soreness in his surgically repaired left knee, the Angels announced. The expectation was that he would return by week’s end. That might no longer be the case, though that part is unclear," Gonzalez wrote.

The fans stated that Mike Trout could be retired due to so many cases of injuries coming his way.

"Might be time to hang it up," one fan said.
"Honestly just sad at this point," another fan mentioned.

Some fans shared a similar sentiment and questioned Trout's fitness to continue in the major league.

"There was no reason for him to rush back a knee injury especially when the Angles are putrid," one fan stated.
"Most overated player in the history of sports," one fan opined.
"Just retire brother you dont wanna play anymore," one fan remarked.
"We may never see another healthy season sadly," one fan pitched in.

Trout underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in the same knee in May. While the team has classified the issue as day-to-day, the incident is a big question mark on his potential return by the week's end. There haven't been any comments on his return yet, but Trout has reacted to his setback.

"Take it one game at a time," Trout told reporters before the game in Salt Lake City. "See how I am. See how I recover from playing tonight, and go from there."

Angels manager Ron Washington has stated that Trout needs to play at least three games in the minor league before he can rejoin the main roster.
