The MLB Desert Invitational is one of the best opportunities of the year for fans to get a glimpse of the future. The 7-team tournament has already kicked off in the state of Arizona.
Formerly known as the MLB4, the MLB Desert Invitational marks the beginning of the college baseball season at US colleges. The schedule features 13 games squeezed into just four days.
Twelve of the games will be streamed live on MLB.com, and three of those games will also be available for fans to watch live on the MLB Network. The tournament is sure to feature some young talent that are bound to find their way to the MLB one day.

The teams include Arizona, Grand Canyon University, Fresno, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, and UC San Diego. The games will be played at Sloan Field and the Salt River Fields complex, the Spring Training home of teams like the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks. Two additional games will also be played at Brazell Field.
It began on Friday, February 17th with a game between Michigan and Fresno State at 2pm local time. Michigan bested Fresno State by a score of 6-2 in a blow to the Alma Mater of New York Yankees star Aaron Judge.
Among the prospects featured in the tournament are Tennessee pitcher Chase Dollander and Jacob Wilson of Grand Canyon State. Both are expected to be drafted high in the first round of the MLB Draft this summer. Chase Dollander went 10-0 with a 2.39 ERA last season for Tennessee.

The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with the team who gathers the most victories will be handed the championship trophy on Sunday, February 20th.
