MLB icon Jose Canseco surprises daughter Josie on set of her new MTV show: "Big squish came to visit"

Jose Canseco's daughter, Josie Canseco, has been paving her path to fame through modeling and social media. Her father, the Oakland Athletics former outfielder, fully supports his daughter's journey, which was evident in the eighth 'Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets' episode on MTV.

Josie is currently part of the famed show's eighth season and her father gave her a surprise visit on the set in this Tuesday's episode. It was wholesome since Canseco has been on the same show as well, he took part in season five of 'Surreal Life'.

She boasted about his presence on her Instagram Story:

Jose Canseco entered the villa, and his daughter was instantly excited and on her toes. She rushed to her father, hugged him, and apologized for being in a swimsuit. After that, Canseco walked up and met the other contestants.

Josie talked about her childhood off-set and how she used to get bullied on behalf of her father's career. They also reminisced about his time on the show, and how he used to be hot-headed back in his day.

At the start of the eighth episode titled 'A Different Type of Spiritual Awakening', Josie Canseco expressed how she always felt like she grew up faster than her age. She had a strained relationship with her parents and had to absorb a lot of things.

"My parents were just not around that much and I moved to New York at 17," she said in a confessional. "It was a lonely time where I had to figure out everything for myself."

After this, Josie also revealed that her parents' way of expressing their love was more "physical." She said that she only saw Jose Canseco on important occasions usually, the things that meant a lot to her. Talking to another contestant, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Josie spoke her mind.

"I heard it a lot, but it was more the physical," Josie said. "Or just showing up when your kid needs you. Like showing up to things that are important to me. If it was a cheer competition or a dance recital or you know what I mean just stuff like that."

Still, Jose Canseco tries his best to be there for her daughter, and he's proven it yet again by showing up at 'The Surreal Life.'
