Today, we will be looking to the week of MLB games that lie ahead of us and levying some predictions pertaining to how the overall MLB table might look by this time next week.

Top Ten Teams - MLB Power Ranking Predictions Week 15

10. Seattle Mariners

There is no doubt that the Seattle Mariners have struggled offensively compared to last season. The team's .217 combined average ranks last in MLB, and can be blamed on the departure of solid bats like Eugenio Suarez and Teoscar Hernandez, but also on the underperformance of players like former Rookie of the Year Julio Rodriguez.

Thankfully for Mariners fans, pitching has picked up the slack. The team remains first in the AL West. Logan Gilbert, George Kirby and Luis Castillo have helped make the rotation one of the best in baseball, and Seattle's 2.62 ERA at T-Mobile Park is, by far, the best home runs figure in baseball.

9. Houston Astros

The Houston Astros are on a tear. Having made up eight games in 14 contests, Houston now sits just two games behind Seattle in the AL West. The team's 3.64 ERA over the past thirty days is the best in baseball, while pitchers like Hunter Brown, who had a terrible start, now look unstoppable. With some big series' coming up against divisional rivals, watch out for Houston to continue their hot run.

8. Minnesota Twins

Minnesota's hitting has been able to make up for their mediocre pitching this season. Over the last fortnight, Twins hitters have posted a .296 batting average, which is just two points behind the Astros, who lead MLB over that span of time. Carlos Correa, their star shortstop, has been particularly hot lately. Including his Grand Slam on Friday, the Puerto Rican has registered a .918 OPS along with a pair of homers and five RBIs in his last six contests.

7. Boston Red Sox

Now on a five-game winning streak, manager Alex Cora's Boston Red Sox appear set on making the postseason for the first time since 2021. Speed continues to be an ace card for Boston, as was evidenced by the fact that their 37 swipes in the month of June led the AL. If the Sox continue playing an aggressive, forward type of game, then expect the stage to be set for pitching talent like Tanner Houck and Kutter Crawford to carry the team past September.

6. Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy likes to employ solid fundamentals into his team's play, and it shows. With their lead in the NL Central now at five games, Milwaukee ranks in the top five in MLB in hits, steals, and on-base percentage. Jackson Chourio, Brice Trurang, and Christian Yelich have all hit over .300 in the past two weeks, playing important roles in keeping their club ahead.

5. New York Yankees

Ahead of their last meeting against the Red Sox on June 14, the New York Yankees were 50-22, 14 games ahead of their divisional foes. Now, after a 3-14 run from the Bronx Bombers, that difference has shrunk to 4.5 games.

Injuries have been the main problem for New York. Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo before Gleyber Torres exited Friday's game in Boston. Moreover, pitching has really let the side down, as key arms like Carlos Rodon and Luis Gil have struggled to respective ERA figures of 11.57 and 9.72 over the past two weeks.

4. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to combine lights-out pitching with superlative hitting. The result is one of the best overall lineups in MLB. The result is the top run figure in baseball, combined with one of the lowest WHIP figures.

Although predictable figures like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman still contribute, the offense has been spread, and recently more unlikely names like Gavin Lux, Will Smith, and Austin Barnes have been stepping up.

3. Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland's ability to make quick work of their opponents at home has been a boon for the club this year. The team's 28-11 home record is better than any other club in baseball, and left fielder Steven Kwan, who has hit .363 thus far this season, looks like an early candidate to win the AL batting title.

However, it has been relief pitching that has really set the Cleveland Guardians apart. Closer Emmanuel Clase has only allowed three earned runs in 40 innings, giving the star closer a 0.67 ERA on the year. As a unit, the Cleveland Guardians bullpen has a 2.57 ERA, which is far below any other relief corps in MLB.

2. Baltimore Orioles

With 75 home runs on the year, Baltimore has more long balls than any other team in MLB. In all, seven players on the O's have connected for 11 or more home runs this season, which gives them the highest average number of bombs per player.

Moreover, pitching has also been commendable, with some unlikely names contributing to the team's AL-best 3.40 ERA. In addition to Corbin Burnes, Alberto Suarez, Grayson Rodriguez and Kyle Bradish are all having seasons better than most expected.

1. Philadelphia Phillies

Despite dealing with injuries to Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, the Philadelphia Phillies remain the best team in MLB, and are likely to remain as such. Players like Trea Turner and Nick Castellanos have really stepped up, combining for a .342 average alongside eight home runs and 25 RBIs since June 21.

Conversely, the team's 3.20 ERA is the best in baseball, and has been helped along massively by heroic performances from Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Ranger Suarez, and others.
