New York Yankees fans uninterested in team signing Jurickson Profar at $10 million price tag: "He’s good but he ain’t that good"

The New York Yankees may have trouble filling out their outfield, with options like Aaron Hicks not living up to expectations yet. One option outside the team is free agent Jurickson Profar, an MLB veteran who remains unsigned. He is reportedly seeking a ten-million-dollar a year contract, which is pricey at this point in the offseason.With Spring Training fully underway, it is surprising that Profar is yet to sign with a big league club. In 2022 he played 152 games, recording a solid batting average of .243 and 15 home runs. His offense is solid enough to be a depth player on nearly any roster. Hicks may not be a great left fielder, but he is certainly servicable for the time being. MLB seasons are marathons, not sprints. They will have plenty of time to manuever once the season begins. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton cannot carry the entire offensive load.
