Bo Bichette was one of the major talking points in the Blue Jays roster this year. After hitting .290 in 2023, he slumped to a .225 average, hitting just 31 RBIs, including four homers in 2024. The Blue Jays will hope for him to regain his form to compete in the AL East.

On the MLB Hot Stove, analyst Matt Vasgersan said that the Blue Jays shortstop will turn things around in 2025. He pointed out Bichette's injured finger as a major reason for his troubles last season and expects the 26-year-old to earn his third All-Star cap.

"Another guy, like Vlad, who could hit free agency in 2026. There is no chance Bo Bichette has the kinda year he had this year in 2024.
"The injury to finger, the broken finger was just - of course the year ends with that. He is going to bounce back. I don't expect anything other than an All-Star appearande from Bo Bichette," Vasgersan said.

Bo Bichette remains on the trade block with possible move to Altanta, per insider

Throughout the season, there have been talks of Toronto trying to add a strong at-bat to their lineup. For that, they will have to move a few pieces, emptying some payroll. Bichette has been one of the names floated around because of his $17.5 million payroll salary.

As per Bleacher Report's Zachary Rymer, the Atlanta Braves haven't added many big names this offseason. They can afford to get a one-on-one trade for Bo Bichette to strengthen their lineup, which heavily struggled last season. The Blue Jays could pick from some of Braves' pitching prospects to get good value.

"And so far this winter, they've been quiet as other NL contenders have loaded up. There isn't a ton of talent in Atlanta's system, but there is plenty of pitching depth. That's what the Blue Jays should try to get at if the Braves call about Bichette."

Whether he's traded or not, Bichette will look to rebound in the 2025 season, as it's the last season of his contract. As a shortstop, he's expected to get good contract offers next winter if he can prove that the 2024 season was a minor blip.
