Pop music icon Rihanna set the stage on fire during her blockbuster set for the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.
Rihanna blew the roof off the State Farm Stadium in Arizona halfway through the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles with her first live performance since 2016.

That was not all the noise surrounding her over the weekend, however. An old picture of Rihanna clad in a New York Mets shirt made its rounds on Twitter, sending both MLB and Mets fans into a frenzy.
The image was shared by the SNY Mets Twitter account, and they made sure to cheekily point out that Rihanna was their favorite fan. They also mentioned her phenomenal Super Bowl halftime performance!

The Mets took out a 30-second commercial during this year’s Super Bowl that featured some of its stars. The advertisement was not broadcast nationally but appeared twice locally, pitching ticket sales after another busy offseason.
A 30-second national spot during the 2023 Super Bowl was priced as high as $7 million, according to reports.
“The impetus was that the Super Bowl marks the end of the football season, but really kicks off the baseball season,” Andy Goldberg, the chief marketing officer for the Mets, told the New York Times. “It’s the one moment of the year where all eyes are on you and you’re going to have a lot of attention.
“We want to build the brand out broader than the core audience of the Mets, and start to grow our fan base even more,” Goldberg added.
The Mets are coming off a busy offseason where they have committed nearly $500 million to free agents, in addition to more than a half dozen other deals.
The Steve Cohen era is really only getting started!
