Shane Bieber's wife Kara makes her feelings known about Cy Young winner re-signing with Guardians with baby on the way

Shane Bieber's wife, Kara Maxine Bieber, was ecstatic at the announcement of the 2020 Cy Young award winner re-signing with the Guardians for the 2025 season. Shane missed the entirety of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his pitching arm but has now signed a one-year deal for $10 million.

As per MLB, the deal includes a $4 million buyout and a player option of $16 million for the 2026 MLB season. The deal could be worth $26 million if he chooses to stay with Guardians for another two years. Kara took to social media to share her excitement and captioned her post as:

"Baby b gets to be a Guardian and live next to auntie Em."

Reflecting on his deal with the Guardians in an interview with MLB.com, Shane Bieber said:

"The relationships, the development staff, the coaching staff, my teammates.. having continuity and familiarity in those realms, I feel like can prove beneficial, not only to me but my family and everybody really involved in it.

"And so, that was big for me, to you know feel confident in my rehab, where I am right now, but nobody knows me as well as Cleveland does and vice versa. So, I am happy to be continuing with them."

Bieber spent the entire year in rehab, attempting to recuperate from his Tommy John surgery. His wife, Kara Maxine, proved to be a solid support mechanism for the RHP throughout his recovery process.

The duo crossed paths for the first time on the grounds of the University of California Santa Barbara and soon began dating.

Over the years, their love blossomed, and they finally decided to get engaged in 2021. They proceeded with their beautiful wedding in Malibu, California, surrounded by their loved ones on January 21, 2023.

Shane Bieber and his wife announced they were expecting the birth of their first child in 2025 after sharing a heartfelt post on social media. The caption on the post read:

"Savoring every moment of the sweetest chapter yet 💛👼🏼"

Kara could also be observed flaunting her baby bump alongside the Guardians ace RHP, for the Thanksgiving celebrations in November.

"Feeling especially blessed in this season of life. Happy Thanksgiving to you all 🤎"

The Guardians will be hopeful that Shane Bieber can completely recover from his Tommy John surgery in time to be ready to pitch in the 2025 MLB season starting in March.
