On Sunday, the New York Yankees fell 3-2 to the Detroit Tigers to lose their three-game series. While the Yankees offense was largely quiet on the night, fans picked on prospect Jasson Dominguez after the loss.
With the three-game series on the line, the rubber game headed into extra inning after Jace Jung's game-tying single off Yankees reliver Clay Holmes in the ninth. Although the Yankees retook the lead after DJ LeMahieu's go-ahead single in the 10th, it didn't last long.
The Tigers tied the game again after Zack McKinstry's single before Parker Meadow won it for the Tigers with his walk-off single to help clinch the series. The walk-off single came off rookie outfielder Jasson Dominguez's clutched throw as he hesitated with his long throw to home plate.

Yankees fans were upset with the loss, with many singling out Dominguez for the defeat.

Jasson Dominguez of the Yankees will be sent back to the minors after Sunday's game
Jasson Dominguez was recalled to the senior roster for Sunday's series finale against the Tigers, his first MLB game of the season. However, it will be brief stay for him, as the Yankees plan to send him back after the Little League World Series Classic.
Dominguez impressed Yankees fans after his promotion to the senior team near the end of last season. But his promising stint came to an abrupt halt due to an injury, which saw him undergo Tommy John surgery.
“Every time I come up here, it’s a blessing,” Domínguez said. “It’s an honor. I’m happy to be here to play this game, and I’m happy that I’m in the lineup today.”
The Yankees start a three-game series against AL Central leaders Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, with hopes of clinching the series and reclaiming the top spot in the AL East.
