Top MLB DFS Picks - July 11

Pitchers

Aaron Nola ($8600 on DraftKings)

Phillies ace Aaron Nola will head to the bump as his club aims to issue a sweep to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Since inking a massive, $172 million contract extension this offseason, Nola has dominated. In 18 starts this season, Nola is 10-4 with a 3.48 ERA.

Paul Skenes ($10300 on DraftKings)

The Pittsburgh Pirates will call upon rookie ace Paul Skenes in their attempt to split a three-game series in Milwaukee on Thursday. Undefeated in ten starts this season, the 22-year-old right-hander was selected for an MLB All-Star appearance on account of his 2.12 ERA and 78 strikeouts through 59 innings. Coming into Thursday's affair, Skenes has allowed just four earned runs over his past twenty innings of work.

Hunter Greene ($9200 on DraftKings)

2017 first-round draft pick Hunter Greene is slated to start for the Reds in their series finale against the Colorado Rockies on Thursday. Greene, 24, has risen to the occasion since he signed a six-year, $53 million extension this offseason. Set to register career figures across the board, Greene is now 5-4 with a 3.45 ERA through 18 starts. In his third career start against Colorado, Greene has a career 10.80 ERA in just 8.1 innings pitched against the NL West club.

Top Hitters

Elly De La Cruz ($6400 on DraftKings)

Over the past two weeks, nobody in MLB has stolen more than the eight bags registered by Cincinnati Reds infielder Elly De La Cruz. Still only 22 years old, the flashy Dominican infielder has taken the league by storm since making his debut last June. In addition to leading the league in steals and triples, Elly owns a career .405 average against the Rockies, Cincinnati's Thursday opponents.

Francisco Lindor ($5200 on DraftKings)

Since the start of the 2022 season, Francisco Lindor has missed a grand total of three games for the New York Mets. Although his team has not exactly fulfilled their potential during his time there, the Puerto Rican remains a consistent hitter. In fact, Lindor has been one of his club's most effective hitters over the past month and has a .288/.355/.550 slash line with six home runs and 17 RBIs since June 10.

Kyle Schwarber ($5500 on DraftKings)

Although Kyle Schwarber only returned from the ten-day IL on Tuesday, the Phillies slugger has been doing what he does best ever since. In two games against the Dodgers since his return, Schwarber has gone 2-for-8 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. Additionally, Schwarber's 60 walks leads the NL in the category.

Budget Picks

Ian Happ ($4100 on DraftKings)

Over the span of the last seven games, Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ's 1.405 OPS ranks fourth overall in MLB. The 29-year-old former first-rounder's 14 home runs and 85 RBIs currently put him on pace to set career figures in both categories. As the Cubs aim to sweep the O's on Thursday, Happ will seek to recreate his performance on Tuesday, that saw him hit a home run and register three RBIs in his club's 9-2 win.

Rob Refsnyder ($3600 on DraftKings)

Although things have not been exactly going in the direction of Boston Red Sox outfielder Rob Refsnyder, there is reason to retain faith in the 33-year-old. Despite hitting just .083 over the past fortnight, the South Korean-born Refsnyder touts a .303 average on the season, which ranks second on his club. On track for career numbers across the board, Rob Refsnyder will undoubtedly be hoping that his team exercises their option for him next year.

Ben Rice ($3800 on DraftKings)

The New York Yankees called up MLB rookie Ben Rice to help boost their offense amid significant injuries last month. Since making his MLB debut on June 18, the 25-year-old has exceeded expectations. Now 16-for-64 since breaking onto the scene, Rice has contributed with five home runs and 14 RBIs for the Yankees in just 20 games. The first baseman will attempt to recreate his three-homer, seven RBI performance against the Red Sox last week as the Yankees take on the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday.
