Trevor Bauer capped off his impeccable LMB season with a championship victory. Bauer led the Diablos Rojos de México to a 3-2 win over Guerreros de Oaxaca on Sunday to win the Southern Zone and advance to the King Series. His stint in Mexico may have been longer than he anticipated when he initially signed on with the Diablos during spring training, but it was a highly successful stint nonetheless.
Apparently, Bauer was so dominant that hitters resorted to complaining. The former Cy Young winner had his good breaking ball, so he often put it to use setting down batters. As per the former MLB pitcher, that didn't sit well with them.
On Monday, Bauer posted on X, formerly known as Twitter:

"Y’all, I’ve never heard hitters b***h so much about me not throwing them fastballs. And I’ve pitched to @KingofJUCO a lot. Like yo, it’s a playoff game. If you want the fastball, learn how to hit the breaking ball first. Or maybe don’t bunt the fastball foul in a 2-strike count for a k.
"What would yall call this behavior? Is getting mad at a pitcher for dominating you with breaking balls fair or foul play in a playoff game?"
The former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher has been vocal online during his time in Mexico as he tries to garner enough attention to warrant a return to the MLB. That may not have happened, but he's certainly put in a season LMB fans and players won't soon forget.
Trevor Bauer believes MLB is keeping him out
Trevor Bauer has worked tirelessly, including playing in Japan and Mexico, to get back to the MLB. So far, following his 324-game suspension and reinstation, it has been unsuccessful. Bauer thinks that may not be his fault.
In an online exchange, he wrote:
"Well, one team told us it’s not their decision, it’s an MLB decision. One team told me I was 'too expensive' even though I offered to play for minimum, another team told us they have covered some stuff up in the past that they don’t want the media digging into to find out about."

According to the former Cincinnati Reds star, the league is influencing teams not to sign him no matter what. That claim has not yet been substantiated.
