WATCH: Alex Verdugo takes a jibe at Orioles as Gleyber Torres gets hit in the hand after Aaron Judge

Alex Verdugo and the New York Yankees won 4-2 against the Baltimore Orioles at the Yankee Stadium after overcoming some injury scares. Tuesday night's game saw two of the Yankees batters get hit by a pitch by the Orioles pitchers.

In the second inning, Anthony Volpe hit a single starting their 1-0 lead. Shortly after in the third inning, Aaron Judge was hit by a pitch thrown by Orioles' Albert Suarez. Judge stayed after the hit but eventually left the field in the following inning.

Giancarlo Stanton’s single and Gleyber Torres’s sacrifice fly each brought in a run in the third. However, in the fifth inning, Torres was hit by a pitch from Keegan Akin. Displeased after this second incident, Alex Verdugo threatened the Orioles players from the dugout.

Verdugo's outburst was captured on camera, showing his reaction to the situation on the field:

“Just me and you. And after I’m done with you, I’m gonna f— that guy up,” Verdugo seemed to say from the dugout.

Despite the tensions, Torres remained in the game and was moved to second base following Akin's wild pitch. He then scored a run on DJ LeMahieu’s sacrifice fly, extending the Yankees' lead to 4-0.

The Yankees pitching staff allowed only two runs to the Orioles, both in the ninth inning.

Alex Verdugo addressed the HBP incidents, concerned for Aaron Judge

Yankees left fielder Alex Verdugo went 1 for 3 scoring one run with one walk during the game. Talking about the hit-by-pitch incidents in a post-game interview, he said:

"At the end of the day, we don't take what happened lightly. Obviously, [Judge], it's a big one for us, so none of us are too pleased about it. At the same time, I don't believe it was intentional.”

“It was just one of those things where a couple of pitches got away from their guys. It's one of those things after you hit somebody, if you can't go in, don't go in that way. It's just one of those things. We'll see what happens."

Aaron Judge's X-rays and CT scans on his left hand returned negative, indicating no significant injury. With a record of 51-24, the Yankees lead the AL East and are scheduled to face the Orioles on Wednesday in the second game of their three-game series.
