LA Angels superstar Mike Trout cheered for his favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Sunday.

Trout has become a regular at Eagles’ games over the past few seasons and hasn’t been shy about supporting them. His support was on full display as the Eagles took on the Dallas Cowboys during their Week 17 game.

The clip was captured during the first quarter with the Eagles leading 7-0. Philadelphia is fighting to secure its playoff position as the NFL season winds down.

Trout, a native of Vineland, New Jersey, hopes to see the Eagles win their 13th game of the season against their division rivals.

Mike Trout a multi-sport star growing up

Mike Trout has made a name for himself playing baseball. His MLB career boasts some incredible numbers. In his career, he has hit 378 home runs along with 954 RBIs, 212 stolen bases and a .991 OPS.

For all of the baseball accolades Trout has achieved, the three-time AL MVP was also a multi-sport athlete growing up.

Trout had the opportunity to play various sports depending on the weather and seasons in New Jersey. During an appearance on the "Baseball Isn’t Boring Podcast" on Audacy in April 2024, he recalled playing three different sports.

Trout played football in the fall, basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring. He believes that the variety helped him excel in baseball. Trout also discussed the importance of playing various sports.

“It was really important for me," Trout said. "Baseball was obviously my favorite sport to play. I kind of played basketball to stay in shape for baseball, and then I played football to get stronger for baseball, but I think the aspects and the overall competitiveness in the other sports helped me in baseball. It’s just different.”

Trout doesn’t regret playing multiple sports as it allowed him to prepare for his MLB career. He offered advice for young people engaged in various sporting activities.

“It was big for me to play three sports.," Trout said. "If there’s any advice out there, I would say to play multiple sports. It helps you mentally focus, and physically, as well.”

Trout went on to become the Angels' first round pick in the 2009 MLB draft. He has multiple 40-home run seasons and has topped the 30-home run mark six times.

While Trout has been hampered by injuries over the last couple of campaigns, if he can remain healthy in 2025, it would allow him to regain to his Hall of Fame trajectory.
