The deadline draws close, and the Orioles have a long list to go through. It remains to be seen how many they can finalize by the end of Tuesday (before 6 PM ET).
In a recent move, they have acquired right-handed Seranthony Dominguez and outfielder Christian Pache from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for outfielder Astin Hays.
The Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde believes the club is not done yet with the deadline.

“The mindset changes a little bit when you're winning and you're anxious to see what's going to happen and what moves are going to be made,” Hyde said on MLB Network Radio. “I think it's a lot harder, honestly, when you're talking about losing teammates and losing players that are helping you.
“I think everybody’s so aware of everything that’s going on right now. … I just think you try to be consistent and act as normal as possible, be there for when they need, if they need to talk. … We’re all anxious to see what happens with this deadline.”
They are the AL East Divison leader with a 61-41 record, dethroning the New York Yankees (60-44) after weeks of trailing. They’ve got the best record in the American League, jointly shared with the Cleveland Guardians (61-41) of AL Central.
With a highly confirmed postseason slot, the Os have intensified their approach to make a better roster in the remaining time of the trade deadline.
Orioles' list of interested candidates for the trade deadline
According to Jake Rill, the Orioles beat reporter for MLB.com, the club is prioritizing its rotation and bullpen.
According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, Detroit Tigers All-Star ace Tarik Skubal has gained attention from both the Orioles and Dodgers.
If the Tigers decide to retain Skubal, who remains under team control till 2026, Jack Flaherty, a righty arm with a 2.95 ERA in 106.2 innings this season, is a strong alternative.
Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports the O’s interest in the Cincinnati Reds’ Frankie Montas (5.01 ERA in 93.1 innings) and Nick Martinez (3.88 ERA in 72 innings).
The Os have great farm talents that can initiate trade talks, including the 2022 overall top draft pick, Jackson Holliday. However, it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll be used and if that move favors the team.
