"What a joke"; "Francisco Lindor robbed" - Fans blast 2024 All-MLB Second Team selection featuring Royals captain Salvador Perez and more

Fans reacted as All-MLB selections were announced, featuring top players including Francisco Lindor, Salvador Perez, Mookie Betts and others, on Thursday. However, some of the All-MLB second-team selections drew ire from fans, as they expected those players on the first team list.

Some weren't happy to see NL MVP finalist and New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor on the All-MLB second team. Kansas City Royals shortstop and AL MVP finalist Bobby Witt Jr. was favored over Lindor.

A few also called out the selection of Royals captain Salvador Perez, who only played as a catcher in 91 games this season.

"Francisco Lindor robbed," one fan wrote.

"Perez caught 91 games lmao. What a joke of a list," another fan commented.

"Second team but he’s supposed to be ROY 😂" one fan thought that Padres rookie Jackson Merrill should have been on first team.

"No Doyle or Tovar this list is invalid," another added.

"Holy shit this is trash," one posted.

"Henderson robbed he was absolutely better than Lindor this year. Also Chapman completely robbed, arguably should’ve won SS over Machado but Chapman’s defense was way better. This is literally a popularity contest. Also Yordan is 2nd team at DH but they gave Rooker SS over him?😂" another fan argued.
