William Contreras would like to continue his scintillating form from 2024 into the 2025 season. On Sunday, the 2021 World Series winner shared three Instagram stories of his workout sessions.
The first story had him doing the dumbbell rows, while he did plank with band pulls in the second. In the third story, he did a landmine extension exercise, captioning it in two words.
"BEAST MODE"
The caption seemingly sums up his current mentality, as he had captioned the first story "Beast" and the second one with three gorilla emojis.
Dumbbell rows are excellent for overall upper body development and functional strength. They target key back muscles, including the lats, traps and rhomboids. The exercise also helps to maintain posture and enhance grip strength.
The resistance band plank pull is an excellent full-body movement with multiple benefits. It engages the core muscles, arms, shoulders and back. The exercise also helps reduce the likelihood of injuries.
Landmine exercises are highly effective and versatile. Landmine movements engage multiple muscle groups, making them excellent for building strength and promoting muscle growth.
The 2024 season was a standout year for William Contreras. The catcher earned his second All-Star selection, a Silver Slugger Award and an All-MLB First Team nod.
Contreras had 23 homers, 99 runs scored and 92 RBIs. His batting average of .281 was just shy of his career-best of .289 (2023).
