LSU Tigers gymnast Olivia Dunne is quite popular on social media, boasting more than 15 million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined. She often posts stories on Instagram from her daily routine, which includes her gymnastics training, cuddling moments with her pet 'Roux,' and travel trips.
The senior gymnast, along with her LSU teammates, is in Utah at the Maverik Center for the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championship season. However, she took time away from the gymnasium to experience cable ride adventures in the snowy Utah mountains at Canyons Village, Park City.
She posted a series of stories on Snapchat in which she covered her trip, which consisted of a cable ride adventure to propel them to the top of the mountain. She also pranked her followers, saying that they are stuck on the gondola with the "Help" sign on the window of the cable ride.
Olivia Dunne's last visit to Utah didn't turn out well
The LSU gymnast's last visit to Utah resulted in a chaotic event when her team arrived there. Dunne, who was injured at the time, was received by a swarm of people chanting her name: “We want Livvy! Give us Livvy!” outside of the university's building.
Police intervened, and LSU's team bus was eventually forced to move to avoid running into a group of boys. According to Furlong, there were cops stationed in front to prevent them from entering.
After that incident, Dunne, with the assistance of the university, traveled with security to avoid such incidents in the future.
"Actually, we've got it settled down a bit," Dunne said about the incident. "We haven't competed since last season, so we'll see what this season holds. But after the incident in Utah that happened last year, we now have a security guard that travels with the LSU gymnastics team." [via the People].
As Dunne navigates through her senior year at college, she would like to win the NCAA championship before she leaves the college world.
