Controversy surrounded Alex Rodriguez throughout his MLB career. He has been on the receiving end of some of the most ridiculous claims, including one where Carmen Sucart, Rodriguez's estranged cousin Yuri Sucart's wife, claimed that he once relieved himself in her house.

Sucart also accused the former New York Yankees star of being obsessed with money and making it the center of his life.

In a 2014 Daily News interview, Sucart had several things to say about Rodriguez. She called the former Yankees third baseman "arrogant." She also said he had narcissistic tendencies and thought of himself as a god.

"He was arrogant. You know what he did? He peed outside on my wall, next to the pool. He didn’t ask for the bathroom," Carmen Sucart said.
"He peed on the floor. He was so arrogant. He came into my house like he thought he was a god."

Sucart said that, after he had done the deed, the Yankees legend took his things and left her house.

Among the claims that Sucart made in the interview with the Daily News was that Rodriguez was greedy and obsessed with money.

"I want you to put this in the paper. Alex is so poor, the only thing he has is money," Carmen Sucart said.
"He sleeps with his money. He will die with his money. He is the devil. He is evil."

Alex Rodriguez's other controversies

Alex Rodriguez played 22 seasons in the MLB. That time came with its own fair share of additional controversies.

In 2007, he made headlines when he was photographed leaving a strip club with a woman who was not his then-wife Cynthia Scurtis. She would later divorce him for "extra marital affairs and other marital misconduct."

In 2014, Rodriguez was suspended for the entire season and postseason. This suspension came due to his role in the Biogenesis scandal. He was accused of purchasing performance-enhancing drugs and hindering the league's investigation. His initial suspension was 211 games, but it was later reduced to 162.

Alex Rodriguez has had many people come out and speak against him throughout his career, but it's surprising to see his own family resent him so much.
