When 'Big Sexy' Bartolo Colon's double life got exposed in the media

Former New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon was a star Major League Baseball player. Colon once made headlines due to his personal life and tumultuous marriage.

'Big Sexy' Colon's double life was exposed when news of him being with another woman besides his wife of 21 years surfaced. Colon had two secret children with the other woman.

He was taken to court by Alexandra Santos on the grounds that the $7 million-per-year athlete hadn't paid child support for his elementary-aged children.

“Mr. Colon obviously is a very talented baseball player and he earns a significant income, and we believe that his children should share in the lifestyle they would have enjoyed had their parents remained together,” Santos’ attorney Evan Schein told The Post.

The Post, however, received confirmation from Rosanna Colon on Tuesday that she was aware of her husband's second family and the ongoing legal action.

“I can’t talk about that,” Rosanna said. “This is personal and not something I want to talk about.”

Colon has spoken warmly about his four sons with Rosanna, Bartolo Jr., Emilio, Wilder, and Randy, despite being reserved about his personal life.

Bartolo Colon is a 4X All-Star

Colon participated in four MLB All-Star Games in his career. These were when he played for the New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, Cleveland Indians and the Los Angeles Angels.

In 2005, when he led the league in victories while pitching for the Angels, he received the American League Cy Young Award.

Colon played for the Cleveland Indians, Montreal Expos, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers. Quite a career.
