Boston Red Sox fans were bashed by former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price's wife, Tiffany Nicole, in 2013, who was Price's girlfriend then.

Nicole exploded on Twitter after a difficult loss left the Rays with an 0-2 series deficit.

Convinced that there must be a written rule that in order to be a Red Sox fan, you have to be a complete and utter POS. Wow! - Tiffany Nicole Price
Thank you to those who choose to break that rule - Tiffany Nicole Price

Inevitably, Red Sox fans emerged from hiding and started criticizing Tiffany for combining all the fans. She rebuffed insults and general advice to "stuff it" from others who called her names. She alleged that opposing players' children were being teased and that trash was being thrown.

Owning it RT @MsKansasState: @sportstalkmatt never deleted it. Also said thanks to those that break it. Safe to say I will not be thanking u - Matt Perrault

After Tampa Bay lost the series 2-0, Price also expressed his annoyance on Twitter. After criticizing MLB analysts Tom Verducci and Dirk Hayhurst for their remarks about his poor performance, he eventually offered an apology.

Last night got out of hand and I apologize for the things that I said on here...if I offended you I am very sorry for doing so...#thatsnotme - David Price

David Price and his wife Tiffany's cute love story

David Price and Tiffany dated for a few years before tying the knot in 2016. The couple are the parents of two children.

Price, who is currently a free agent, made his MLB debut in September 2008 after the Rays selected him first overall in the 2007 draft.

Price pitched in relief for the Rays during their playoff run in 2008. A save in Game 7 of the 2008 American League Championship Series (ALCS) helped the Rays advance to their first World Series. They fell to the Philadelphia Phillies in the final, though.
