Hal Greer was a 10-time All-Star who played as a guard for the Syracuse Nationals and its successor franchise, Philadelphia 76ers. He played all 15 seasons in the NBA for the same franchise. He enjoyed good success playing alongside Wilt Chamberlain. In 1966-67 when 76ers won the title, Greer averaged 22.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

He averaged 19.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in his long career in the NBA. Wilt and Greer complemented each other very well and 76ers dominated opponents because of their coordination.

Greer made it to the postseason 13 consecutive times. His jersey No. 15 was retired by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1976. He is the Sixers' franchise leader in the number of games played, number of minutes played, field goals and points.
