With the NBA soaring globally right now, so are its stars. Fans like to be associated with the top players. There are several ways to do so: the obvious and highly like way is through buying their respective team jerseys; the other way is by buying their signature shoes. Almost all players are signed to shoes and apparel companies like Nike, Adidas and Under Armour, among others, but very few get to be selected to have their own signature shoes.
Notable active NBA players with signature shoes include James Harden and Derrick Rose with shoes by Adidas, Dwight Howard, and Tony Parker with shoes by Peak and much more. Each of the signature shoes has some quality that makes them desirable for different brands. We look at the top NBA players with latest signature shoes heading into the new NBA season.

The much-hyped rookie already has a signature shoe. He earned it from his father Lavar Ball’s, Big Baller Brand. He joins the list of a select few names; Michael Jordan and LeBron James, who had signature shoes as rookies.
Ball played a little merry-go-round with the sneaker brands in the Summer League, sporting Nike, Adidas and Air Jordan during the tournament. However, when it came down to the regular season, the Laker rookie stuck to his own ZO2 Primes.

#9 Dwyane Wade
Dwyane Wade is an all-time great. He is a 3-time champion, former finals MVP, 12-time all-star and a former scoring champion.
Wade signed a deal with Li-Ning in 2012, which included equity in the company and his own brand- “Way of Wade”. He is launching his 6th sneaker with the brand for the 2017-18 season. It comes with a carbon fiber mid-foot strap for lock-down support while what appears to be a woven textile upgrades the flexible upper. Dwyane’s signature logo hits the mid-sole while matching carbon fiber support lands on the heel counter.it was released on October 21st, 2017 @90 USD
#8 Russell Westbrook
Mr triple-double and the reigning NBA MVP doesn’t have his own signature playing sneaker, he is a line of lifestyle sneakers. He wore the Jordan 31s throughout last season and currently wears Jordan 32.
He recently signed a 10-year extension with Jordan Brand with undisclosed details. His shoe- the Jordan Westbrook 0.2. It reflects Russell’s unique fashion sense.
They were launched on 15th October 2016 @140 USD.
#7 Damian Lillard
The 2-time All-Star is underrated as he is often overlooked for the NBA all-stars, only featuring as an injury replacement. His efforts haven’t gone unnoticed though, Lillard signed a 10-year deal with Adidas in 2014 that is expected to net him over $100 million over its lifespan.
He is on his fourth signature shoe with the brand-the Adidas Dame 4. The shoe features a mid-top design with mesh, BOUNCE cushioning, and more. The shoe debuted on October 4th, 2017 for $115 via Adidas, followed by a global release on October 6th, 2017.
#6 Klay Thompson
The 3-time all-star and two-time champion recently signed a 10-year extension with Anta, a China-based brand, that could reach $80 million. They are on their third signature sneaker that dropped in May right before the start of the NBA Finals.
He was rocking the Anta KT3 on opening night. Dubbed the “Gold Blooded” colorway, the shoe celebrates the Warriors’ latest NBA championship and was produced in only 99 pairs. It was launched on October 22nd globally. Thompson’s shoe is a high top with a knitted upper, which is new for the Anta brand overall.

#5 Paul George
Even though his career stalled a bit following his horrific leg injury, Paul George is still one of the best two-way players in the league today. He is Nike’s 21st athlete with a signature sneaker to his name.
Paul George launched his signature shoe-the PG 1 in March earlier this year. He has received great market success. His sneakers are the least expensive Nike signature shoes@110 USD. The shoe features a low-top design with a mix of neoprene, mid-foot straps, and Zoom Air cushioning.
#4 Stephen Curry
The 2017 NBA champion has a deal with Under Armour the keeps him with the brand until 2024, to go along with some equity stake in the company. He has seen his sneaker line reach its fourth signature model-the UA Curry 4.
It has a sock-like collar for ankle protection and a thick midsole for cushioning, “SC30” branding on the midsole, and an updated outsole. An exclusive version of the same debuted on October 7th, with others following on specified dates. The retail price for the shoe is $130.
#3 Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant recently became an NBA Champion with his jaw-dropping performances that earned the Finals MVP trophy. His success on the court earned him a 10-year, $300 million deal with Nike in 2015 when Under Armour nearly poached him away.
He is on his 10th signature shoe with the brand.
Though he debuted the sneaker in last season’s Western Conference finals, he had a new variation of the same on this season’s opening night-The KD 10 Opening night.
This Nike KD 10 Opening Night is a Golden State Warriors-themed colorway featuring a simple white Fly knit construction with alternating Swoosh accents outlined in royal and yellow. The pair also features embossed NBA logos on the tongue and official Warriors logos on the outsole. The sneaker was released on October 1st with more colorways to follow. It retails for 150 USD.
#2 Kyrie Irving
Kyrie remains a very marketable player in the league. The four-time all-star; known for incredible handles only matched by his agility, speed, and ability to finish around the rim, signed with Nike for around 8 million dollars a year.
His signature sneakers have enjoyed a great reception in the market. Alongside LeBron, he has the bestselling sneakers in the market.
Kyrie opened his new season donning the new Kyrie 3 Celtics PE. This is the latest colorway of the already impressive Nike Kyrie 3 sneakers. They sell for 120 USD.
#1 LeBron James
The four-time MVP and three-time champion recently signed a lifetime with Nike. The deal is worth around a billion dollars, according to James’ business manager Maverick Carter. LeBron is on his 15th signature shoe with the brand-excluding the Zoom Soldier series. He was spotted with this new shoe earlier in the summer at a pickup game in UCLA.
The shoes debuted Nike's Battle Max and Battle Knit materials. The design is notable in that it lacks any visible Swoosh branding, a first for James' signature Nike line. The “Ghost” colorway released on October 17th, 2017, followed by the “Ashes” colorway on October 28th, 2017. More colorways have been released since. It currently retails for 185 USD.
