2016/17: Shot 47.3% on 6.3 attempts per game
This heavy disparity in attempts per game is because of Kawhi Leonard's reduced minutes in the few matches he played this season. Leonard has improved his offensive game so much, he has become one of the best midrange players in the game.
Last year, he was having an unstoppable year and his midrange stats were exceptional. This year, the injury has sided him for too long and his stats are skewed cause of that. But still shooting 56.3% from midrange just returning back from injury is no small feat.
He is one of the best shot creators from midrange, taking 29.2% of his shots from midrange.
