The Golden State Warriors started the 2016-17 season with a record of 4-2 and were up against the New Orleans Pelicans, who were winless six games into the season. Curry exploded and dropped 46 points, on the back of then NBA-record 13 three-pointers and lifted the Warriors past Pelicans.
In the first quarter, with Warriors down by 5 and close to seven minutes remaining, he knocked down his first three-pointer on the night to cut the Pelicans' lead to 2. He then followed it up with another three-pointer with 4:32 remaining in the first, to tie the game. It looked like he was going to go off that night and he did.
He finished the night with 46 points on a 16-26 shooting. From the three-point line, he went unconscious for 13-17 with a mind-blowing three-point field-goal percentage of 76.5. The Pelicans had no answer to Curry as he kept knocking down three-pointers.
