Paul George is the latest addition to the Philadelphia 76ers roster after playing five seasons with the LA Clippers. The Sixers acquired George in hopes of upgrading their roster. Last season, Philly secured the seventh seed with the duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. With George now in the mix, they hoped that they'd come out better this season, especially with Embiid's absence.
However, the opposite has happened as the Sixers have had an awful start to the season, which has a lot to do with Joel Embiid missing a big chunk of the year. But with Paul George being more available to help Tyrese Maxey carry the load, the 76ers were expected to fare better, but that hasn't happened.
It seems that the addition of George to the Philadelphia 76ers roster hasn't been as beneficial as it was expected to be. Here are three reasons why the Sixers should let go of PG.

#1 Paul George is no longer as efficient
Looking at Paul George's stats this season, it's the first time in nine seasons that he's averaging under 20 points per game.
George is only scoring 15.9 points and shooting 31.0% from beyond the arc, which is close to his career low of 29.7%. With 54 games remaining in the season, depending on how he shoots the ball, there's a chance that PG's percentage could drop.
#2 George is once again injury-prone
Last season, George defied all odds, as he played 74 games for the LA Clippers. Despite not completing all 82 games, it was the first time in four years that PG played at least 70 games as it seemed that he was unlikely to become injury-prone again.
Unfortunately for the Philadelphia 76ers, George's body is showing signs of brittleness again, as he has missed 10 games this season. His unavailability will likely affect the Sixers, especially as star big man Joel Embiid has been sparingly available. Philly needs a player who's more available to help Tyrese Maxey carry the load.
#3 The Sixers could trade for Jimmy Butler
Rumors of Jimmy Butler being available in the trade market have been circulating off late. While Pat Riley expressed that he won't trade Butler, the Heat star feels otherwise and wants out.
Given the circumstances, the Philadelphia 76ers could reach out to Butler and trade Paul George to the Miami Heat. Butler and George are only a year apart in terms of age.
While Jimmy is older by a year, he's playing better compared to PG. Butler is averaging 18.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 4.8 apg and 1.2 spg. He's also shooting 55.7% from the field overall. Numbers-wise, Butler would an upgrade to Phily compared to George.
