#2 Dennis Schroder's likely departure

Since joining the Thunder from the Atlanta Hawks last summer, Dennis Schroder has performed well in his role from the bench. Despite being a regular starter for much of his career, the German has embraced his role as backup to 2017 MVP Russell Westbrook, and he is currently averaging an impressive 15.4 points and 4.2 assists per game.

Nevertheless, the Thunder are currently lacking in available cap space, and despite vastly improving the OKC's historically weak reserve unit, Schroder is still among the most overpaid player's in the entire NBA. The 25-year-old is still owed $60 million over the next two years, and the Thunder will have trouble in attracting new talent without first offloading Schroder.

Raymond Felton's future is also in doubt, as the veteran will turn 35 in the summer, and it looks like Thomas could be a perfect fit to add new depth at the point guard position.
