The Brooklyn Nets and the LA Lakers are the odds-on favorites to meet in the 2022 NBA Finals, though the most recent events regarding the Covid-19 vaccine could have an impact in such a situation.

Still, with both teams at full strength, the Nets and Lakers are expected to meet in a thrilling NBA Finals series with several storylines far beyond the LeBron James vs. Kevin Durant rivalry.

However, if one of the Top 2 teams in the league sees one of its best players missing half of the regular season, that can only mean that the other team will have an edge over the former.

The LA Lakers could have a positive season with the Brooklyn Nets' unfortunate situation.
