It had been reported throughout the offseason that Wallace was spending a lot of time working with the bigs for the Pistons on crafting their games. One of the rising stars on the Detroit Pistons roster is second-year big man Isaiah Stewart. Ironically enough, Stewart has the exact type of mentality and defensive skill that his mentor had. Earlier, head coach Dwane Casey was asked about how it's been having Wallace around on a more permanent basis.

"Huge, huge," Casey said last week. "Just showing them tricks of the trade, post defense. Ben is going to be with us this week in training camp working with our big guys with post defense and showing them the tricks of the trade there. Just to have Ben around and have him as an example for Isaiah and Luka (Garza) and Kelly (Olynyk) is so important just because of his experience and what he’s done and what he means to this franchise."

There's no doubt that this was a great move for the Pistons organization moving forward.
