Wilt Chamberlain erupted for then record 78 points in the game but the Lakers down the Warriors in a close game.

Wilt went for 31-62 from the field with a field-goal percentage of 50.0 and played all 63 minutes in this triple-overtime thriller. He also pulled down 43 boards to go along with an assist. Chamberlain made 31 trips to the free-throw line and made 16 of those.
