Nevertheless, despite all the criticism that he has received, McCollum's +/- currently sits at +26, which is 11 points better than Lillard's tally.

Additionally, no other member of the Trail Blazers roster has a positive +/- stat, with Anthony Tolliver's -54 among the worst in the entire NBA. Ultimately, McCollum's perceived poor start to the season seems to have been exaggerated, and there is no doubting that Portland continue to rely on their excellent backcourt duo.
