Darren Collison's 2016 arrest
Darren Collison played in the NBA for more than a decade. For the biggest part of his career, the guard played for the Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings.
As a member of the Kings, Collison was arrested on domestic violence charges.
Police received a call from the point guard's wife, who claimed she was being assaulted by her husband inside their home. The victim also had visible injuries from the assault.
A few months later, the Kings guard pleaded guilty to domestic battery charges. However, this did not affect his career as he went on to play for a few more years.
Matt Barnes is one of many NBA players who had trouble with the law
Matt Barnes has been arrested several times, including one arrest for domestic violence. Barnes' NBA career was very interesting as he played for nine different teams. He won the championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2017.
Barnes was arrested on domestic violence charges shortly after signing a contract with the LA Lakers. The victim wasn't revealed, but it appears to be Gloria Govan, who dated the basketball player at the time.
Once again, a domestic violence case had no effect on a player's career. Barnes kept playing for seven more years, eventually winning it all.
Metta Sandiford-Artest and his suspension
Metta Sandiford-Artest, also known as Ron Artest, is one of the most problematic former NBA players. Many fans remember him from "Malice at the Palace," but he's also dealt with problems off the court.

In March 2007, less than three years after the infamous brawl, Artest was arrested on domestic violence charges. The woman involved in the incident was Kimsha Artest, Ron's wife.
The forward played for the Sacramento Kings at the time and was suspended by the team. Artest stayed in the league despite the incident, eventually winning it all with the Lakers in 2010.
Jason Kidd was arrested in 2001
During his career as a basketball player, Jason Kidd was one of the most amazing playmakers in the league. The 6-foot-4 guard was a fantastic floor general, whose court vision was impecable.
Unfortunately, Kidd dealt with some issues off the court and was arrested in 2001.
Kidd, who currently serves as the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, allegedly punched his wife in the mouth during an argument. The basketball player pleaded guilty and had to undergo anger management training.
The Phoenix Suns, the team Kidd played for at the time, decided to distance themselves from all the drama. They shipped the guard to the New Jersey Nets shortly after the incident.
