It was a pretty bad week for the elite crop of point guards in the league. With almost every team dropping a game this week and no PG putting consistent exceptional numbers, Harden retains his spot from last week.
It's been a pretty average week for the Rockets as a whole, losing twice in the four games of the week and both to the Memphis Grizzlies. One of their two wins came in a Philly off of a buzzer-beating game-winner from Eric Gordon. Despite the minor skid team-wise, Harden continued to accumulate his numbers.
He recorded a triple-double (27 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds) in the team's comfortable win in Charlotte. In their win against the 76ers, he recorded 27 points, 13 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Point guards are going to have to put up stellar numbers and lead their teams to unbeaten records in the next week to displace 'The Beard'.
