#3 DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre Jordan was a second-round pick by the Clippers in the 2008 draft. He was an integral part of the Lob City team and became a big name in the league, due to his performance there. Jordan's performance, however, started deteriorating as the season went by, just like the Lob City Clippers.

After getting into the All-NBA first team in 2016 and making it to the All-Star team games in 2017 things were looking good for Jordan. However, his exit from the Clippers stunted his growth, as he never reached the promised potential.

Jordan went to the Dallas Mavericks in 2018. He had a good season there, but after a year was traded to the New York Knicks. Jordan played a mere 19 games for them and was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. From being a starting center for the Clippers team, Jordan went on to become a bench player for the Nets. Jordan was waived off by the Brooklyn Nets, but days later signed a deal with the star-studded Lakers team.

Blake Griffin was the number 1 pick of the 2009 NBA draft. He won over fans in his rookie season by appearing in all the highlight reels courtesy of his posterizing dunks. Griffin was one of the most important part of the Lob City Clippers alongside Chris Paul. However, the team never failed to reach the predicted heights.

In all those years Paul and Griffin were together they failed to reach past the second round. After eight years of playing with the Clippers, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons. Griffin went from being a star in LA to playing for a depleted Pistons team. After a good first season, he failed to perform there and averaged a mere 15.5 PPG in the 2019-20 season.

He was on the receiving end of criticism, as many suspected he did not want to dunk while playing for the Pistons. Griffin signed with the Brooklyn Nets in March 2021. He played a big role for them during the playoffs when stars like James Harden and Kyrie Irving were injured.

Andrew Wiggins was selected number 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2014 draft. He later went to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a trade. After winning rookie of the season honors, Wiggins was promising to be one of the best young players in the NBA.

He was expected to lead the Timberwolves after the exit of Kevin Love. However, his failure to perform consistently led to the team failing to reach their expected levels. The Timberwolves added Karl-Anthony Towns in the 2015 draft to form a formidable duo with Wiggins. But nothing panned out well for them as they failed to make it to the playoffs until Jimmy Butler arrived.

After six seasons with the Timberwolves, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors in the 2019-20 season. In his first full season, Wiggins averaged 18.6 PPG on 47.7% shooting from the field. However, he was unable to provide the necessary help to Stephen Curry, as they failed to make it to the playoffs. Despite showing promises of being a great player towards the start of his career, Wiggins failed to make a big impact in the league. The 26-year-old is a terrific defender and can contribute on both ends, but the lack of consistency is what separates him from greatness.
