5 players with most points on Christmas Day feat. LeBron James
#1 - LeBron James (476 points)
LeBron James has a chance to add more to his Christmas Day tally this year as the LA Lakers face the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center. James needs 24 points to get to 500, which will likely happen given he's averaging 22.6 points per game.
"The King" has been the face of the NBA for more than a decade now, and the league still hasn't found a successor. He'll likely be playing on Christmas Day until he hangs it up. His highest-scoring game on Dec. 25 was 39 points in 2021 against the Brooklyn Nets.
#2 - Kobe Bryant (395 points)
Kobe Bryant previously held the record for most points on Christmas Day before LeBron James broke it in 2021. Bryant was the face of the NBA following Michael Jordan's retirement in 2001. He was a joy to watch, so it was natural for the league to put him in the spotlight.
Bryant played 16 games on Dec. 25 throughout his career. His best performance on Christmas Day was in 2004 when he dropped 42 points against the Miami Heat. It was his first game battling former teammate Shaquille O'Neal.
#3 - Oscar Robertson (377 points)
"Big O" Oscar Robertson was one of the first superstar guards in NBA history. Robertson played 12 games on Christmas Day and had a total of 377 points. He averaged 31.4 points per game on Dec. 25.
Robertson's best Christmas Day game was in 1961 as part of the Cincinnati Royals. He had 40 points, 12 rebounds and 17 assists, but the Royals lost to the LA Lakers 141-127.
#4 - Kevin Durant (315 points)
Kevin Durant is the only other active player on this list, cementing his status as one of three faces of the current generation of the NBA. Durant, LeBron James and Steph Curry defined the 2010s and are still going strong in the 2020s.
KD has a total of 315 points on Christmas Day and will likely get to 400 before his career is over as long as he avoids injuries. He had 40 points in 2010 when he was still part of the OKC Thunder against the Denver Nuggets.
#5 - Dwyane Wade (314 points)
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade rounds out the top five with 314 points on Christmas Day. Wade played a total of 13 games on Dec. 25, mostly as a member of the Heat.
"Flash" had his best Christmas Day game in 2006 when he scored 40 points and dished 11 assists against Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers.
