#3 Stephen Curry could become the third member to record multiple seasons with a 50-40-90 shooting split
Stephen Curry is already one of nine players in NBA history to have a season with at least a 50% efficiency from the field, 40% from the three-point line, and 90% from the free-throw line.
In the 2020-21 NBA season, Stephen Curry averaged 32 points per game (career-best) and did so with a 48/42/91 shooting split. He got close to having his second 50/40/90 season, with the first one coming in his unanimous MVP-winning season (2015-16).

That year, he achieved the feat while averaging 30.1 points per game, the highest for any 50/40/90 season in league history. However, he has not repeated the feat since, and will look to do so in the upcoming season. This would mean he could join Steve Nash (four times) and Larry Bird (twice, consecutively between the 1985-86 and 1986-87 seasons) as the only players to do so more than once.
#2 He could become the Golden State Warriors' all-time leader in games played
Stephen Curry already owns some big franchise records with the Golden State Warriors. Obviously, he has played his entire NBA career with the team that drafted him in the 2009 NBA Draft and has already surpassed Wilt Chamberlain for most points scored in franchise history. Curry has also moved ahead of Guy Rodgers for most assists in franchise history.
Now, he has the chance to become the player with most games played for the Warriors organization. Curry has played 762 games with the Golden State Warriors (regular season) and is currently within striking distance of Chris Mullin's record of 807 games.
#1 He could become the NBA's all-time leader in three-point field goals
This one is not a shocker. If you look at the top three leaders in three-point field goals made in NBA history, something will surely jump out at you. While the top three include three of the greatest shooters in league history, Ray Allen (all-time leader) and Reggie Miller (third-best) played 1,300 and 1,389 career games, respectively.
However, second on the list is Stephen Curry with 2,832 career three-pointers in only 762 career regular-season games. Now only 141 threes behind Ray Allen's tally, Curry could definitely surpass the all-time great in the 2021-22 NBA season and set a new record.
If we judge by his total of threes made in the last few years (he made 337 last year), Stephen Curry could even become the first player ever to hit 3,000 career three-pointers in league history. We would certainly not bet against it.
