Andrew Nembhard is a professional basketball player for the NBA team, Indiana Pacers. He hails from Ontario, Canada and was born on January 16, 2000. While his early trysts with basketball involved representing his nation in FIBA competitions in the U-16, U-17 and U-18 categories, his rise into basketball was catapulted by his entry into America through the attention he garnered at Montverde Academy. It was in this academy in Florida, USA, where Nembhard began to be noticed by coaches and scouts.

At the academy, Nembhard drew interest from multiple colleges across the United States due to his skills on the court. He committed to play collegiate basketball at the University of Florida and then declared for the NBA draft two years later despite having performed well in college basketball and being viewed as someone who could emerge as a top NBA prospect with more training and experience. Nembhard decided to return to the college basketball scene, this time, by enrolling into Gonzaga University. At Gonzaga, Nembhard functioned as a bench player, impacting the team with his court vision and ability to perform with and without the ball. Success at Gonzaga drove Nembhard to declare for the NBA draft yet again, in 2022.

Nembhard was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2022 NBA draft as the 31st pick. His promising performance in the Summer League led the Indiana Pacers to provide Nembhard with a permanent spot on the roster. In July 2022, Nembhard signed a 4-year contract worth $8.6 million with the Pacers.

Aside from a few standout performances, Nembhard was also selected to be a part of the Rising Stars team in the 2023 NBA All-Star weekend. His performance in the league so far has been promising and there is no doubt that Nembhard could grow to be a highly impactful player in the near future.
