Growing up in Atlanta Georgia, Anthony Edwards grew up being influenced by football and basketball. Having initially played football for most of his early years, it was after age 10 that he decided to pick basketball and prove his potential in the sport. In 2016, Edwards began playing basketball for the Therrell High School before shifting to Holy Spirit Preparatory High School where almost immediately, he became one of Holy Spirit Prep’s fastest emerging players.

Soon after graduating high school, Edwards was rated by multiple recruiting services as a consensus five-star recruit and a top player in the 2019 class.

In February 2019, Edwards committed to playing college basketball for Georgia and played one season for the Division I Program, averaging 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.3 steals a game.

Anthony Edwards made his debut in the NBA in December 2020 for the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the last three seasons, Edwards has led the Timberwolves to consecutive playoffs. Whereas, the team made it to the Western Conference Finals after two decades in the 2023-24 season. Edwards averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, making it his best season in the NBA.
