Team USA was able to wrap up the group stage of the 2024 Paris Olympics with a perfect 3-0 record after 104-83 victory against Puerto Rico. For years, it has been common knowledge that Anthony Edwards can become among the country’s best players, and the mauling he gave to Puerto Rico on Saturday was his magnum opus.

While Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid have all endured sticky patches of form since the start of the Olympics, Edwards, along with Kevin Durant, have been Team USA’s most reliable players. His 26 points led Team USA to a top seed heading into the quarterfinals.

Around the seventh minute, Edwards replaced Steph Curry. He then made a two-point shot from outside the paint, assisted by Derrick White. He showcased his range of passing to an elite level and created two chances for LeBron James.

In the second quarter, the 22-year-old scored a two-point shot from inside the paint. He missed a couple of free throws later in the quarter before sinking a three-pointer.

The Anthony Edwards spectacle didn't stop there, as, just inside the fourth quarter, he stole the ball from a Puerto Rican player and went on a solo run to finish a spectacular windmill dunk, providing the latest evidence of his ridiculous technique.

In the latter stages of the affair, he carved out another opportunity for him, and the Timberwolves star slotted another 3-pointer of the game and his third of the night.

He finished the game with a game-high 26 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, dishing out 3 assists, and stealing the ball twice. He shot an impressive 11-for-15 from the field and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc in just 17 minutes and 16 seconds.
