Australia vs. Spain Starting 5s and Depth Charts
Australia vs. Spain Starting 5s
The Boomers' roster has a combination of youth and experience. Patty Mills is still the expected starting point guard although he plays more of a shooting guard. OKC Thunder's Josh Giddey should be a starter as the primary playmaker, as well as another youngster in Dyson Daniels.
PG: Patty Mills | SG: Josh Giddey | SF: Dyson Daniels | PF: Nick Kay | C: Jock Landale
On the other hand, Spain is also in a transition period with most of their players from their "Golden Generation" such as Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol and Ricky Rubio all retired from international basketball. Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Llull are still playing, while Santi Aldama and Jaime Pradilla represent the next generation.

Australia vs. Spain Depth Charts
Australia has plenty of players coming off the bench with a bunch of NBA experience such as Joe Ingles, Dante Exum and Josh Green. They have depth in every position and can play a variety of lineups if needed. They are coached by Brian Goorjian, who is also in charge of the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League.
Meanwhile, Spain doesn't have a lot of current NBA talents with just two – Santi Aldama and Usman Garuba. They are composed of former NBA players who preferred playing overseas such as Alex Abrines, Willy Hernangomez and Juancho Hernangomez. Veterans Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Llull should provide more than experience when their numbers are called by head coach Sergio Scariolo.
