Bam Adebayo is the starting center for the Miami Heat in the NBA as of March 2025. Adebayo was selected as the 14th overall pick in the first round by the Miami Heat in the 2017 NBA Draft. In his rookie season, he started 19 games of 69 played and averaged 6.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. The 3 times All-Star is in his eighth season in the NBA and the Miami Heat, averaging 15.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. In the season 2019-20, Adebayo led the Heat to the NBA Finals along with Jimmy Butler, but they fell short against the Denver Nuggets. Adebayo averaged 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. Since then the Miami Heat has made it to every playoff but is still yet to clinch the NBA title. Now as Jimmy Butler is already traded to the Golden State Warriors, Bam Adebayo along with Tyler Herro will be leading the team in the season 2024-25.

The 4-time All-Defensive player, Adebayo joined the University of Kentucky before joining the NBA. He played for a lone season with Kentucky and averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Adebayo had the best game in the college when he grabbed 12 rebounds, and defeated UCLA in Sweet Sixteen. But Kentucky lost in the Elite Eight and Adebayo drafted his name for the 2017 NBA Draft.
