Benjamin David Simmons, better known as Ben Simmons, is a professional basketball player from Australia who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. Born on July 20, 1996, Simmons plays as a point guard and was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
However, an injury sidelined Simmons for the whole season after getting drafted and he made his NBA debut in 2017. In the 2017/18 season, Simmons won the Rookie of the Year award and also helped the Sixers advance to the playoffs for the first time in six years.
